Oxford Cowley Vets4Pets Ltd is part of the Vets4Pets brand within the Pets Family. Based on its website, it’s set up for in-house diagnostics and surgery (including an operating theatre, in-house lab, digital X‑ray/ultrasound, and an oxygen chamber), with separate cat and dog waiting areas and wards plus isolation units.
From the latest reviews available to us, experiences are mixed: several owners describe the team making time for appointments (including for cats) and delivering urgent, “saved her life” care for a puppy, while others report poor communication or empathy in difficult situations (including a euthanasia visit) and feeling rushed during routine check-ups.

Always find time to see my two cats when they need a visit and take such good care of them. All members of the team show an active interest and care in the animals, I wouldn't go anywhere else

My cats came here and I wish they never did. We were having my cat put to sleep, which is already a horrific experience, but we found out she had actually passed away in the car on the way to the vets. When we arrived (at the time of our appointment) we told them that we think she has passed. They told us to sit in the very open waiting room with our cat (who had just died) which was full of other owners, so we just had to stand near the lift. No compassion or empathy from the staff, did not offer to put us in a separate area or actually start our appointment for them to double check her state, didn't even say they are sorry that we have to wait. We had to watch other owners go in for their appointments with their pets, even though our appointment time had already passed. Luckily, one kind owner noticed what was happening and actually let us take their appointment. Without their kindness, God knows how long we would have been waiting with our deceased pet. Once we were seen, they again had no compassion and didn't seem to care. Just confirmed her death and told us to pay at the desk. I have so many other stories from this place, but this one is the one that I will never forget.

I think a yearly vet check should include the vet asking the owner about how the pet has been, how’s her diet, elimination, etc. If the owner has a question about anything. It should not be just a 2 mins physical check and being dismissive about important discussion about vaccinations. I even had to remind this vet about checking the microchip because she is in such a hurry to dismiss us because my pet id fine. A vet check is booked and paid for to actually have a proper check, which should include a conversation, an interaction, a discusssion about a pet’s health. The pet being okay doesn’t mean the owner has no questions. This is very disappointing.

Terrible practice, scammed over 1000 pounds and no results. Hidden prices. Told them we are not bringing our dog back for vet treatment, and then they refused to cut our dogs nails. Mid diagnosed our dog, as we got a second opinion from iffy rd vets, to which they confirmed. All they are interested in is getting every penny they can from you, and they don't care about your pets. Stay away, Im down over 1000 pounds,I hope no one else falls for this scamming practice. STAY CLEAR, YOUR PET WILL BE BETTER FOR IT!!!

A truly special practice, with outstanding staff, working as a great team to ensure your fur babies are truly looked after. Without the amazing fast acting care that was given to my puppy she would not be here today. This vets saved her life! Fantasic care from start to end and on going.

On all visits always received outstanding customer service, and they all look after my dog really well. Always happy to advise me as I’m a new dog owner and never had a dog before. Always helpful and joyful. Recommend!
