Dr Bruce is amazing, thorough and obviously knows lots about exotic veterinary care. I have seen him multiple times over the past few years and have the upmost confidence in the advice he gives and trust him fully. My bearded dragon was referred somewhere else for a surgery which resulted in her being put to sleep (through no one’s fault she was unfortunately too ill and this was not preventable) and Bruce was kind enough to ring me and pass on his condolences. Thank you for all you have done for Bryan and I will be sure to come to you again for any future pets. I would defineitly remember HerpVet Services to anyone in need of an exotic vet!

Experienced and knowledgeable. I've been taking my pets to Herpvet for many years. Always good advice and a thorough service provided. The only person I would take my reptiles to.

We took our bearded dragon to Dr Bruce in September and he is an absolute wizard when it comes to exotic pets. He takes his time, and does a thorough examination. I would recommend Bruce to anyone with an exotic pet. It’s such a pity that he’s so far away from where we live.

Bruce McLean is an absolute genius. I have a huge collection of morph bearded dragons and live over 2 hours a way. I won’t go to any other vet now I have discovered him. His attention to detail, thoroughness and knowledge is quite incredible. I had a upper respiratory virus which ripped through my collection. We successfully treated them with antibiotics, and an immune booster; they all recovered. I’ve had various other problems and Bruce has always managed to find a way of treating them often by thinking outside of the box. He is clearly one of the best exotic vets in the country and I would highly recommend him to anyone who keeps reptiles. Makes a change from seeing a vet who “has an interest” in reptiles and no matter what the problem their option is “take a stool” sample and that’s pretty much it!!
